Government Whip T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy on Saturday alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi was moving towards extremism.

Speaking to media persons at Assembly's media point, Jagga Reddy alleged that the TRS was becoming like a party of blackmailers. He said the TRS leaders don't wait for an opportunity to exploit the situation, but they themselves create circumstances that favour them. He alleged that the TRS leaders were extorting money from the film industry on one pretext or the other.

Stating that the people in the region were in favour of Telangana State, the Sangareddy MLA said that the TRS was exploiting the same sentiments to extort money. Accusing TRS of selling away Telangana's pride for commercial gains, he advised TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao to control his cadre. He expressed apprehensions that the TRS would turn into a party of extremists if immediate steps were not taken.
