It may be recalled that President Prathiba Patil has recently extended Narasimhan’s term as Governor of Andhra Pradesh.

In a message on the occasion, he thanked the people of State for reposing their faith and affection on him and promised to work for the all-round development of the State. Hailing the rich history and culture of Andhra Pradesh, Narasimhan said that he would visit all places in the State to get first hand information on people’s problems once the by-elections in 18 assembly segments concludes.

Narasimhan said that the fruits of development should not be limited to Hyderabad or Visakhapatnam and should benefit all people in the State. He said that he would focus his attention on the development of tribals in the agency areas.
