Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Thursday said that the Congress party would chalk out new welfare schemes and programmes to improve the confidence of people on the Congress party.
Talking to media persons at Vikarabad in Rangareddy district, the PCC chief said that the welfare schemes and programmes would definitely improve the morale among party cadre and repose confidence of people on the Congress in the ensuing by-elections. He appealed to party rank and file to take up all schemes and programmes before the doorsteps of the people and popularize them for the benefit of party.
Stating that the ground level workers were pillars of the party, he said that the Congress party would recognize their services and award them with suitable posts at an appropriate time.
Botsa expressed confidence that the Centre would take a decision on the statehood issue soon. “I will be happiest person if the Centre announces a decision in favour of Telangana State formation,” he said.
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and Handlooms and Textiles Minister Prasad Kumar were also present in the programme.
