Telangana Nagara Samithi president Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday stated that the No Confidence Motion has exposed the weakness of both Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu.
Talking to media persons in the city, Nagam Janardhan Reddy said the defeat of motion has exposed Naidu’s weakness and he has no moral right to continue as the Leader of the Opposition. Stating that Naidu totally failed to focus on the problems being face by the farmers, he said that the people of the region would reject both ruling Congress and TDP in the next elections for their failure to address their problems.
After the defeat of motion, he said the Congress was in a dilemma to initiate action against 16 rebel MLAs of Jagan Mohan Reddy for violating the party whip, which invites disqualification and paves the way for by-elections. In the name of motion, he said the Praja Rajyam president K Chiranjeevi got some sops for their group.
Describing Kiran Kumar Reddy Government as `minority’, Nagam said that the government would collapse after the outcome of by-elections results of Jagan group.
Nagam also slammed the Telangana Ministers and MLAs for not pressing for Telangana Resolution during the trust motion. If the ministers and MLAs from the region would have pressed for Telangana resolution, he said that the government would have bowed down to their demand and announced creation of separate Telangana state.
