Producer and distributor Dheeraj Mogilineni has earned a reputation for bringing content-driven films to audiences and delivering successful ventures. Under his banner, Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainments, he is now producing a children’s film titled “Summer Holidays”. Directed by Srikar, the film promises to take audiences on a nostalgic journey through a beautiful story that brings back memories of childhood. Master Rohan, Master Arun and Baby Khushi play pivotal roles. Summer Holidays is set for a grand theatrical release on November 6.In a recent interview, producer Dheeraj Mogilineni shared several interesting insights about the film and its highlights.- When I first heard this story, it deeply touched my heart and reminded me of my real-life experiences and childhood memories. The dialogues delivered by Jayasudha garu, who plays the grandmother, reminded me of the way my own grandmother used to speak. Similarly, the words spoken by Vasuki garu felt exactly like the way my mother used to talk to me. I believed audiences would experience the same emotional connection. We could have changed the children's characters into teenagers and added a love story to make the film more commercial. But that would have taken away the innocence of childhood. The sensitivity and innocence of these characters are the soul of this story.- We often see films that break existing trends and create new ones. After films like Pelli Choopulu, people felt that the trend of romantic comedies had faded. Later, Premalu arrived as a dubbed Telugu film and received a wonderful response, followed by Little Hearts. Similarly, we believe Summer Holidays can inspire filmmakers to explore children's stories once again. We hope that after watching our film, more filmmakers will come forward to make such movies. She will be joining us at our next event.- I am making every effort to take the story I believe in strongly to audiences. We initially wanted to release the film during the summer season, but that did not work out. Now that the release has been finalised, we felt the Diwali festive season would be an appropriate time. We were initially concerned that films scheduled for October 30 might get postponed to November 6, but fortunately, that has not happened. We can say that our film has almost secured a solo release. I also feel the government should consider offering certain incentives to films that make special attempts, small films made by new producers and locally produced content. Theatre revenues have declined, and OTT platforms are largely acquiring big films. In such circumstances, government support would be very helpful for small films.- We are getting good theatres for our November 6 release, and the number of screens could increase further once the film receives positive word of mouth. Our film does not carry a specific message; instead, it is driven by beautiful emotions. It captures the emotional experiences of children who spend two months of their summer vacation at their grandmother's home before returning to their routines. The bond they share with their grandmother and village friends, the friendship between Arun and Rohan's characters, and the emotional scenes between a father and son are some of the heartwarming elements. As a producer, I am not looking for awards. I simply want audiences to come to theatres and make our film a success.- I strongly believe that if Summer Holidays works well, it will encourage the industry to produce more films of this kind. When I produced The Girlfriend, I knew it was not a film meant for every section of the audience, but I was confident that a particular segment would connect with it. There is always an audience for different kinds of cinema. Someone has to take the first step to inspire others. Even when I make bigger films in the future, I will remember that I produced a special film like Summer Holidays a decade earlier. That is how special this project is to me. I found the same innocence and honesty in our director that are reflected in Rohan and Arun's characters. Nothing in the story feels artificially introduced. The performances, movements and visuals have all been handled with great naturalness.- During the first six months of this year, not many films arrived in theatres. Now, films are releasing one after another like a flood. There are continuous teaser launches, trailer releases and song launches, leaving very little breathing space for audiences to register each film. If producers had planned their releases well in advance, we could have avoided such a crowded second half of the year.- Currently, we are producing a film titled “Antha Ramuloru Chooskuntaru” starring Sangeeth Shobhan and Anaswara. Nearly 80 percent of the shoot has been completed. We initially planned a December release, but considering the current release scenario, we have shifted it to February. After that, we are planning to collaborate with Nanda Kishore, director of 35, for another film, followed by a project with Kaushik, director of Kishkindhapuri. The end of the first half sets the stage for the second half. Couple of twists in the second half turnout to be ok but many scenes in the second half turned repetitive and routine. There are many illogical scenes and also the climax scenes looks out of snyc.Ashirvad &amp; Suman Jeeva's background score followed the same template. While in the beginning it is good and makes an impact, later it turned out to be typical and routine. Jagadeesh Bommisetti's cinematography is of good standards. He showed the scenes in a decent and appealing way. The VFX and CGI are decent. Editing of Poorvaj could have been far better especially in the second half. The college happenings &nbsp;are shown in a natural way though it did not add much value to the proceedings.The screenplay turns racy once the protagonist experiences the scary happenings. The interval bang is well placed and sets the tone for the second half.The second half leads to unraveling of the mystery with the flashback episodes. Some of the scenes however turned tiresome but the director managed to make an overall impact. The director depended on the sound design which is of high standard to scare viewers with jump scares. This is totally away from his usual urban lover boy image. He has worked hard on his body language as a drunk, careless youth in early scenes and as a ferocious warrior in action blocks. Initially it seems his Rayalaseema dialect and histrionics seem forced but gets better as the movie progresses. In many scenes, his eyes and expressions do more talking than dialogues. Interval bang and climax are where he truly shines. You can feel the anger, helplessness and pain of a leader in him.Rashmika as Jayamma is lovely but her screen time is limited. In the first half, her scenes with Vijay are heartwarming, they give you that light feel in such a heavy film. She brings grace and emotion, and it's good to see she in a role which has very good importance to the story proceedings. But she suddenly disappear and only appears during the later hour in second half and brings emotional anchor.Lal as Bhadramallanna appears in just 2-3 scenes but makes an impact. Mummy fame Arnold Vosloo as brutal commissioner did menacing act. Rahul takes his time to create the world of 1858 Rayalaseema - the Palegaadu system, the British torture, Ranabaali's personal life. Even it is a bit slow here and there, but the Vijay - Rashmika track and period detailing keep us hooked. Interval gives a good high. Second half starts on a powerful note but soon becomes too heavy. The film keeps showing back to back suffering, battles and grief. After a point, it feel choked. We can feel the suffering more than the heroism, because the heroic payoffs don't elevate mainly due to lack of pulsating BGM. With a runtime of almost 2 hours 58 minutes, it feels stretched.Technically, the film is rich. Cinematography by Jishnu Bhattacharjee, and Nirav Shah is one of the biggest assets, it beautifully captures the dry lands, forts and villages of 19th century Rayalaseema. Production design needs a special mention. Except for a few hill portions, you won't feel it's a set, it looks like a real location. Costumes and art department have done a great job. Where the film slips badly is music. Except for Melody song between Vijay and Rashmika, no other song registers. For a film of this scale, it is expected a thundering BGM to lift those elevation scenes. But the score by Ajay - Atul duo lacks that power. That's why even well shot heroic moments and heavy emotional scenes don't give you goosebumps. If those painful scenes had ended with a strong high, the impact would have been much better. Also when they announced Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, and Mithun Chakraborty as the Kalpauk family, the buzz intensifies. Jailer 2 hit the theatres on October 15. Did Nelson pull it off ? Let's see in a detailed review..Jailer 2 (2026) Movie: Story ReviewJailer 2 continues right from where Jailer ended. Tiger Muthuvel Pandian's family is still dealing with the loss of his son Arjun. But Tiger Muthuvel Pandian cleaning up Varma's idol smuggling gang has further leads into more antagonists. Dileep (Suraj Venjaramoodu), &nbsp;a close aide of Varma is hunting for the man who killed Varma. Meanwhile Muthuvel uses Moorthy (Namo Narayana) and his gang to reach Dileep. Then while Dileep is searching for Varma's killer, all roads lead to Muthuvel. That's when the real game starts. The new threat is not a single man, but a whole family syndicate, The Kalpauks, Father Kalpak (Mithun Chakraborty), Bodhi (SJ Suryah) and Kantha (Vidya Balan). How, Muthuvel deals with them follows the entire second half and offcourse gives a lead to Third Installment too.Jailer 2 (2026 Movie): Artists ReviewThis film belongs to Rajinikanth. He is the soul of Jailer 2. But, in Jailer 1, we saw Muthuvel as a normal, retired, soft spoken jailer and that innocence made his mass transformation organic and emotional. In Jailer 2, he is a powerful force from frame one. That surprise factor is missing. Still, his swag is untouched, his comic timing is spot on and when he walks in slow motion with Anirudh's BGM, theatres still erupt. Those elevation scenes are pure goosebumps.The real surprise is Suraj Venjaramoodu. Honestly, he looks more menacing and serious in the first half than the actual main villains in the second half. He holds the entire first half on his shoulders. His track with Namo Narayana is hilarious and also builds tension.Now coming to the biggest disappointment, the Kalpauk family. SJ Suryah as Bodhi tries his best and gets a couple of good face offs with Rajini, but his character quickly becomes loud and repetitive. Vidya Balan as Kantha gets very less screen time and her villainy barely registers except for a couple of laughs due to her 'message' chemistry with Rajini. Mithun Chakraborty is completely underwhelming. To be frank, none of them come even close to what Vinayakan did as Varma in the first part. That raw, unpredictable madness is totally missing.Namo Narayana as Moorthy is a laugh riot. Probably his best role till date. Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa and Yogi Babu are just okay, they don't have much to do. And we have to talk about the special number. Remember how Tamannaah's Kaavaalaa set screens on fire? Nora Fatehi's number in this one feels forced, like a filler song added just for the sake of it.Jailer 2 (2026) Movie: &nbsp;Technicians ReviewFirst half is completely filled with Nelson mark. This is where he shines. He balances his trademark dark comedy with mass elevations so well. The characters are quirky, dialogues are witty and scenes like the tea stall shooting and bridge fight are designed purely as mass fans moments. Followed by a banger interval block with Dileep just elevates everything and makes us think second half will be bigger.But second half is a different story. Once the Kalpauk family enters, the film becomes static. Same kind of scenes repeat, emotional connect doesn't feel organic like the first part and the confrontations look like Nelson is trying too hard to recreate Jailer 1 moments. The main strength in Jailer 1 is how seamlessly it blends The powerful cameos of Shivaraj Kumar and Mohanlal into the narrative whereas those cameos look forced and bland in Jailer 2. But, the much talked about Hrithik Roshan Cameo worked well. The pre climax feels stretched and climax fight is well executed.Technically, Anirudh is the second hero after Rajini. His BGM is power packed and lifts every elevation, but the songs themselves break the flow. He never missed the opportunity to elevate Thalaivar's aura. Vijay Kartik Kannan's visuals are slick and give a rich look to both Coimbatore and Goa portions. Editing by Nirmal should have been tighter, especially in the last 45 minutes. At 2 hours 45 minutes, the film feels long. He chose a new concept in thrillers, and it is phrogging, which has never been touched in Tollywood. He managed to generate interest with the twists and turns to some extent. The first half starts in an interesting manner with the murder and then the fears and psychological behaviour of the girl, generating curiosity about whether she is in danger or hallucinating.The second half turns racy after the first half takes time to pick up pace due to the introduction of characters and their behaviours. The unravelling of twists and also the half an hour in the run-up to the climax takes the viewers to another level. However, once the final twist is revealed, the film's pace dips. The antagonist in the climax tests the patience of the viewers with his monologuing.The background music of Sibi Mathew Alex is good. It increased the intensity levels in the story. The cinematography of Farhan Vadakkan is good. It showed the scenes in an impactful manner. Sharat J's editing could have been better, as there are drags in the narration. He took a lot of time to enter the main plot in the first half, and it diluted the essence. A few predictable elements, slow pace undid the good work. The gory scenes could have been toned down completely. A little fine-tuning of the script and interesting twists would have added more firepower. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for Mayooka. &nbsp;

He looked natural and realistic and showed them through his body language, expressions and dialogue delivery. However the comedy he tried to create looked artificial and unnatural, looking at the situation he was in. Nivin Pauly looked a total miscast. He couldn't bring the so-called flexibility and delicacy which the role demanded and looked stiff most of the times. Anjali makes an impact in her role with her enigmatic presence. He seems to have drawn inspiration from the Hollywood film &nbsp;The Man From Earth and Indianised it accordingly.He tried to generate interest among movie lovers with black humour, blending it with fantasy and emotional elements. However, Ram for all his efforts failed to highlight them in a convincing manner on the screen. He tried a non-linear screenplay and in shifting from one role to another, did not do justice to any one of characters.The protagonist being immortal excites all. However, there ends the interest, as the film that is set to fascinate viewers instead leaves them confused. After a point time, the immortality itself ends up irritating viewers. The hallucinations, reincarnations and other elements instead end up irritating everyone rather than making them sit up and watch. The screenplay turned out to be abrasive, and the emotions goes missing. Every time Soori tries to jump out of the train, viewers get a feeling that they should jump out of the theatres. The lame excuse and convenient narration played the spoilsport.The music of GV.Prakash Kumar is soulful and his background score elevated the scenes. Ekhambaram's cinematography beautified the film, and he captured the scenic locations in a captivating way. The CGI and VFX are just below average. The artificial feel diluted the overall experience. However, the same cannot be said of Mathi's editing, as the entire narration turned out to be a patience tester. Dialogues are ok. Whistle Veerayya then arrives with his gang to attack them.
