Copyright Row Around Aadarsha Kutumbam

A new copyright related dispute has put Venkatesh’s Aadarsha Kutumbam in the spotlight. Parnashala producer Manchi Venkat alleges that the film used around 15 seconds of his movie’s song, Jim Jim Tara, in a scene featuring Venkatesh, without seeking permission. He says the usage could affect his film’s release promotions.
Speaking to the media, Venkat said the track was created for Parnashala and officially released through Aditya Music. He expressed concern that using it in a bigger film could reduce the song’s value for his upcoming project. He also strongly appealed to industry members and audiences to support small films.
Jim Jim Tara gained wide attention online through reels and short videos even before Parnashala’s release. Singer Lakshmi Devi, who is associated with the folk style track, helped make it familiar to social media users. Makers say its popularity became a key part of the film’s promotional campaign and built curiosity.
Parnashala is produced by Manchi Venkat under the SLT Films banner and directed by Y.G. Bharat. The film blends horror comedy with suspense and thriller elements. Venkat has warned that legal action could follow if the song was used without authorization. Aadarsha Kutumbam’s makers have yet to respond so far.
