Prof Kodandaram told media persons at the Somajiguda Press club that the Forum members have conspired with Seemandhra leaders to deceive the people of the region by launching the Ranabheri without first making the party’s stand clear on TelanganaThe TPJAC convenor also expressed confidence that the people will not believe the tricks of Telangana Forum members and not fall into their trap.

Prof Kodandaram advised the Forum members to prevail on party chief N Chandrababu Naidu to introduce a resolution on separate Telangana statehood and ensure its passage during the forthcoming annual conclave of the party, the `Mahanadu’.

The TPJAC chief also demanded that Mr Naidu stands by the resolution adopted by the party on Telangana in the Mahanadu 2008. He appealed to Telangana people not to cooperate with Telugu Desam Party activists organising Ranabheri in the region. Prof Kodandaram appealed to the people of Karimnagar to foil the attempts of Ranabheri, which is being organised under the aegis of Seemandhra leaders.

The TPJAC leader stated, “These acts (of organising the Ranbheri) will not increase confidence of people in the TDP until it adopts a clear stand on Telangana.” When asked to comment on the Telangana Forum recommending suspension of its former convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy from the TDP, Prof Kodandaram said that the TPJAC would discuss this at a committee meeting. He also said that Telangana people will obstruct construction of hydro-electric project by Seemandhra leaders at Kuntala Water Falls near Basar in Adilabad district.
