CBN continues to wait in Jail for Bail. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court postponed the hearing of TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu's plea challenging an Andhra Pradesh High Court order that dismissed his request to quash an FIR in the Skill Development Corporation scam case.

Justices Aniruddha Bose and Bela M Trivedi presided over the bench and instructed senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, representing the Andhra Pradesh government, to submit all materials presented to the high court regarding the case.Rohatgi argued that Naidu's petition to quash the FIR should be denied, as the question of section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act doesn't apply since it was introduced in July 2018, while the CBI inquiry into the case began in 2017.

Senior advocates Harish Salve, Abhisehk Singhvi, and Siddharth Luthra, representing Naidu, contended that all allegations in the FIR are related to decisions, instructions, or recommendations made by Naidu while he was the state's chief minister.

They characterized the case as political, asserting that section 17A should be applicable.Luthra emphasized that Naidu is continuously being implicated in FIRs, suggesting a clear case of regime change. The bench decided to revisit the matter next Monday.
