Butta Bomma : Story Review

Butta Bomma story is all about an unknown phone call and how it changes the lives of the auto-rickshaw driver and a village girl and where their lives head. Satya (Anikha Surendran) hails from a middle-class family in Araku. She aspires to buy a mobile and attain fame by making reels. However, one wrong phone call brings a lot of changes in her smooth life. Where this leads to and how it is connected to Murali (Surya Vasishta) and what role RK (Arjun Das) from the twists?

Butta Bomma : Artists Review

Anikha Surendran made her debut as the female lead in this film. Though she looks young for her role, she put up a decent performance. Surya Vasishta played the role with dual shades. At the start, viewers find it difficult to get connected to his performance. However, with the passage of time, he does manage to impress all. He showed good variations showing dual shades and taking the scenes to another level.

Arjun Das made his Telugu entry with this film. The character he played is apt for his body language and aggressive nature. He performed his role with good ease and makes an impact. All the three who played the main roles did full justice with their hard work and sincerity. Others like Prem Sagar,Navya Swamy,Narra Srinu, Mirchi Kiran,Pammi Sai, Vasu Inturi, Pushpa Jagadish performed according to their roles.

Butta Bomma : Technicians Review

Butta Bomma story selected by Shouree Chandrasekhar T Ramesh is the remake of the Malayalam film Kappela. He tried to do full justice to the remake when it came to the narration and narration. Locations are apt for the remake just like in the original but however, but the film just like any other remake suffered from the connectivity problem. In his quest to bring in Telugu nativity, he added many artificial scenes and robbed the film's original natural flavor.

The entire first half for more than an hour is spent in establishing the characters and justifying them and the director did not try to elevate the scenes with powerful emotions. But into the second half, viewers are taken into an emotional ride. The story with little changes turned out to be very thin but the director Shourie Chandrasekhar made up for it with his screenplay generating interest among the viewers. Little twists in the story create interest but however as viewers have seen such plots earlier, they did not get too excited. His direction is ok to some extent.

The music of Gopi Sunder is appealing and melodious. It is in sync with the storyline. The songs are well shot and the background music takes viewers along with the story. The cinematography of Vamsi Patchipulusu is good and beautified the film with natural and scenic locations. However, he could have bettered it with his experience. Naveen Nooli's editing is ok but he could have done away with a few drags that slowed the tempo. Ganesh Ravuri's dialogues left his mark at times and he could have used more such sparks throughout the film. Production values of Sithara and Fortune Four Cinemas are good.

Butta Bomma : Rating Analysis

Altogether, Butta Bomma directed by Shourie Chandrasekhar promises viewers a romantic emotional ride. Though the idea is right, to add more Telugu flavor into the remake of the hit Malayalam film Kappela, he failed to connect chords completely with the viewers. On a Whole few scenes and interesting dialogues appeal to viewers. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 Rating for Butta Bomma.
