SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring NTR & Ram Charan has become a global phenomenon. Ilafter bagging many awards, numerous screenings and received a lot of love in USA, the film was also welcomed by Japan. Latest is the film has completed 100 days in Japan and is still running successfully in 114 Japanese theatres. It is a great feat now-a-days that a film is running for 100 days a stretch that too in 114 theatres.
Rajamouli shared the news by thanking the Japanese aduudience along a poster which has the list of 114 theatres RRR is screening currently throughout Japan.
"Back in those days, a film running for 100 days, 175 days, etc was a big thing. The business structure changed over time…Gone are those fond memories…But the Japanese fans are making us relive the joy. Love you Japan… Arigato Gozaimasu…”
The team of RRR received a warm welcome in Japan when they went for the film release. RRR recently crossed decades old record of Rajinikanth starrer Muthu which collected JPY400 million (Rs 22 crore) in 1998. RRR surpassed it's collection and made JPY650 million ($5 million) at the boxoffice emerging as highest grossing Indian film at Japan.
