The epic historical drama and a cult film from 1960 which re-wrote Indian cinema records is Mughal-e-Azam. The sparkling love affair setup in Mughal backdrop between Crown Prince Salim also called Jehangir, his father emperor Akbar and court dancer Anarkali stands as iconic landmark film in Hindi cinema even today. For beginners, Anarkali is a pure fantasy work from Indian author Abdul Halim Sharar belonging to 1800s.

As per the official reports we had from film circles close to director Krish, here comes sensational news that Krish is designing the groundwork to paint a love story from Satavahana period exactly in the shades of Mughal-e-Azam.

Just like Abdul Halim Sharar’s creative fiction Anarkali, there is also a historic fiction novel called Sravani in Telugu authored by renowned writer Dr Mudigonda Shivaprasad, set in the reign of Satavahana period. Sravani is a poetic love story between Crown Prince Vasishtiputra Pulumavi, beautiful Sravani and Emperor Gauthami Puthra Satakarni.

‘I am inspired a lot reading the book Sravani and took needful inputs in dealing Gauthami Puthra Satakarni. I am thinking to chalk out a love story like Mughal-e-Azam between three historical characters,’ Krish informs.
