As reported earlier, the Telugu cinema market span is increasing tremendously. Those producers and heroes who adopt with these dynamic equations will only survive in market earning extra revenues for their films while others are sure to stay behind. Allu Arjun can be considered as one of such first heroes to follow this newly developing trend by jumping into Kerala market. He is today rated as an equivalent opener with any other Malayalam star hero.
On the other side Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Nani etc have fetched extra trade for their movies in overseas markets. On to the domestic front, our neighboring Tamil Nadu is one area which still needs maximum to be exploited by Telugu heroes. ‘Bahubali’ might be the only film broke top records in Kollywood and the momentum needs to be sustained. Looks like Mahesh Babu is following Bunny’s strategy to conquer the Tamil hearts similar to Stylish Star does in Kerala.
Mahesh’s recent film ‘Srimanthudu’ ran to decent revenues in Tamil Nadu and ‘Selvandhan’ worked as a pilot project. Grown in confidence, Mahesh Babu planned ‘Brahmotsavam’ as bi-lingual under Srikant Addala direction to be followed by one more project signed with AR Murugadoss which is again going to be a Telugu, Tamil bi-lingual. If these two projects shine at Kollywood BO, there will be no back-seeing for Mahesh.
