'Bahubali' Killed This Film

‘Bahubali,’ the Indian epic movie is running to full houses in many South Indian states. However, arrival of ‘Bahubali’ has served a death blow for one film in Kannada which is in news for now. Yes, it is ‘Rangi Taranga.’ The mysterious thriller film got decent reviews in Karnataka and collected 1 Crore in no time pulling majority of multiplex audience to theaters. At this point of time, ‘Bahubali’ replaced majority of multiplex screens allotted earlier for ‘Rangi Taranga.’

Reduced number of screens and decreased show counts has affected the collections. So, ‘Rangi Taranga’ director Anup Bhandari, producer HK Prakash and distributor Jayanna have approached Kannada Film Chamber of Commerce filing a case regarding ‘Bahubali’ wide release in Bangalore. They also alleged on multiplex owners cheated them by breaking the promise of increasing number of screens from Friday.

‘In Bengaluru, there are no where the posters and hoardings of ‘Rangi Taranga’ displayed properly. We feel very sad for a Kannada film treated improperly in Karnataka,’ they said. Let us see, how far there are probable chances of ‘Rangi Taranga’ to get increased shows from today on.
