Intelligent directors say, ‘Acting isn’t just performing before a camera. It’s the reaction of an artist for a given situation.’ Director Ramgopal Varma believes in this concept. Unlike all his past projects, ‘Department’ is a big initiative from this creative film maker to change the face of cinema making. Yes, that is why he calls ‘Department’ is technically his most expensive films using the methodology of Rogue Film Making.
Everywhere in the shooting spot, you find cameras, cameras and only cameras around artists. In fact, artists tend to get confused on which camera to be focused. ‘It’s stupidity to use cameras in making of conventional shots which we learnt over years watching the others films,’ opines Varam on his new skill used for ‘Department.’
‘It’s great to see Varma putting visuals, his mind and whatever he thought about the film. Normally, I’ve been used to certain set up of shooting using a regular camera, people watching around and lights. Suddenly, all this is missing. He is revolutionizing this whole acting business,’ Big B said. Just watch this making video of ‘Department’ and you are to accept the fact.
