Once again, over violence in ‘Dammu’ has proved the plenty of un-coverable loop holes in our Censor System. Before the release and Censor Certification of film, excitement was very high because clever cine lovers wanted to see what kind of standards Dhana Lakshmi will follow for this flick. Having many mass masala films of recent times got their tails and heads chopped in her hands, obviously ‘Dammu’ filled with revenge drama and faction like backdrop content should have lost its core scenes by the sake of Dhana Lakshmi.
Luckily, with ‘A’ certification she hasn’t done any big loss to essence film. In fact, the actual flavor visualized by Boyapati was in-tact. But from audience point of view, many were questioning on how Regional Censor Officer has given pauses/beeps/replacements for simple, double meaning or abusive words like ‘Nee Abba’ or ‘Dikki’ or ‘Kosesthaanu’ or ‘Ranku’ or ‘Yeththandi Kaduguthaa’ while the extreme violence in second half with Tarak going on indiscriminate carnage, scattered dead bodies with spraying blood and flesh from hero’s weapon were approved objection-less. That is why Nandamuri Fans are offering ‘Koti Dandaalu’ for Dhana Lakshmi.
