Popular film actor Rajinikanth will leave for Singapore on Friday night to avail better health care and rejuvenate himself, according to his family. According to reports reaching here, his wife Latha appealed to the media not to sensationalise his illness and stated that all his vital organs were normal. Ms Latha said that one of the primary factors behind the actor’s Singapore sojourn would be to get some privacy, apart from rejuvenation and better health care. She emphasised that the trip to Singapore was not to undermine the skills of the Indian doctors who had been treating the actor. The 61-year-old actor had been admitted at the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai since the past four weeks for respiratory infection. The actor had earlier been shifted to a private room inside the hospital from the ICU. His stint in the ICU had sent his fans in a tizzy. His daughter Aishwarya pointed out that he would be travelling like any normal passenger does, since his vital organs are stable. Earlier, the actor was admitted to the Isabel Hospital on April 29 and discharged the same day. He, however was readmitted on May 4 after bronchitis and viral fever. He was later admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre for respiratory infection and other problems.
