Priyanka Chopra to bankroll Ventilator 2
Marathi film Ventilator which released in 2016 has a special place in Priyanka Chopra's journey to stardom.
On the completion of 10 years, Priyanka Chopra announced sequel to the project. She wrote, “10 years ago, with @purplepebblepictures, I decided I want to tell stories that mean something. Ventilator was one of those very important stories to us at the company. A decade later, we’re coming back to it, with so much more…”
The sequel will be helmed by Rajesh Mapuskar who directed the original. The film is set for release on 2027.
Ventilator had Ganesh Chaturthi Backdrop and followed the Kamerkar family as they gathered at a hospital after their elderly relative, Gajanan, was put on a ventilator. His condition brought everyone together, but the time spent at the hospital also exposed strained relationships, old disagreements and issues that had never been resolved.
Ventilator featured Ashutosh Gowariker, Jitendra Joshi, Sulabha Arya, Viju Khote, Satish Alekar and Achyut Potdar and Priyanka Chopra played a cameo.
