SS Rajamouli And Mahesh Babu Varanasi Music Work To Begin In September

Oscar winner MM Keeravani shared a big update on Varanasi. The SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu film’s background score work will start in September 2026. Keeravani said he will handle composing through September to January, ensuring the music is ready before post-production begins.

The globe-trotting adventure is being made on a massive scale with international locations and action. Keeravani revealed music is nearly finalized, and BGM will be his focus next. Early promo material and leaks have already built huge buzz worldwide for the project.

According to Keeravani, if music wraps by January, post-production will speed up from February. The team is eyeing an April 2027 theatrical release. Rajamouli is aiming for another world-class visual spectacle after RRR, with Mahesh in a rugged, never-seen avatar.
