War of Words regarding Pawan Kalyan fiery speech in Telangana. The war of words is increasing in Telangana between Pawan Kalyan and Telangana leaders.

It all started with Prof K Nageshwar's sensational comments on Pawan Kalyan’s meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the criminal cases registered against the academic in AP.

When Pawan Kalyan planned to organise a meeting in Hyderabad on 2 June, cops banned citing law and order problem. Following this Pawan Kalyan said "Until now I hadn't decided. But today, I'm announcing that Jana Sena will stay here. Our party will contest elections in Telangana. We'll question the injustice being meted out to people here. If need be, I'll tour Telangana myself. Telangana is part of India."

He added “Telangana is not anyone’s Ayya Jagir (father’s property). No one can dictate where an Indian citizen can travel, live or engage in political activity within the country.”

He pointed “If Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi can contest elections in southern India in Wayanad, if Indira Gandhi could contest from Medak, and if PV Narasimha Rao could be elected with the support of Andhra voters, then how can anyone argue that leaders belong only to one region? What hypocrisy is this? Do Indians now need passports to move from one state to another? Is that where we are headed?”

Pawan Kalyan questioned, "Why don't you speak about CPM and AIMIM, who opposed Telangana? One Congress leader said that he likes Pakistan, and the same leader is now saying that if I hold a presser, then harmony will be disturbed. Why didn't this Congress leader speak on the Pahalgam issue when people were killed?" he asked.

He added "I expect Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to respond to this. You are leaders. You are a so-called national party. A few Congress leaders are behaving like separatists. Again, you want to come into Andhra Pradesh, and you want to be there. What a contradiction. What a hypocrisy."

He also said "In Surat, there are Telugu people. If those people say that Telugu people shouldn't stay here, and if people in Maharashtra say that Telugu people shouldn't stay there, will that work?"

Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar lashed out saying “The BJP leaders are not giving Pawan Kalyan a good script. He is a paid artist. If I had money, I could have hired him for a role and made him speak accordingly,” and he added “Yes, Telangana is the fiefdom of its four crore people. It is definitely not his father’s fiefdom.”

Government chief whip Vemula Veeresham demanded “Before stepping into Telangana, he should tender an unconditional apology to the people for questioning the State’s formation.”
