According to a leading distributor, the producers of the much-anticipated action film 'Kalki 2898 AD,' starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, are aiming to sell the film for over Rs 130 crores in the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The distributor mentioned, "They are seeking premium prices from various centers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, hoping to earn over Rs 130 crore, leveraging Prabhas's charisma and popularity."
The sci-fi thriller is being produced by veteran Telugu producer C. Aswini Dutt, known for his deep understanding of the Telugu market. The distributor highlighted Dutt's expertise in negotiating with distributors, ensuring the best possible prices for the film. He stated, "Aswini Dutt garu is a master at negotiating with distributors and knows how to bargain for the best price since he knows that he has a big winner on hand. He is known to be strict about business deals."
The distributor also mentioned that distributors are likely to form a consortium, similar to what they did for 'Salaar,' before procuring the film. 'Kalki 2898 AD,' set to release in July, is directed by Telugu director Nag Ashwin and features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, promising a visual spectacle.
