Prathinidhi 2 which marks the comeback film of Nara Rohith and also marks the debut of journalist Murthy Devagupthapu as a director grabbed the attention, after the release of its intense teaser. Today, the makers released the film’s theatrical trailer. It was launched by star director Sukumar.
The trailer opens with a journalist played by Nara Rohith asking how many people died of cardiac arrest after the Freedom Fighter Mahatma Gandhi's demise on January 30, 1948. Cut to present, there are violent protests all over the state, after the passing of a chief minister. On the other hand, police suspect there is something suspicious about the protagonist who is exclusively broadcasting news on a channel. Who is he? What’s his agenda? Why did he caution voters regarding casting their votes in the next elections?
Murthy Devagupthapu penned a powerful story questioning the dishonesty and corruption in the political system. The trailer gives more info about the movie, without revealing the real character of the protagonist. Nara Rohith has come up with a compelling performance. Siree Lella played the leading lady. Sachin Khedekar, Dinesh Tej, Raghu Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Udaya Bhanu, Ajay Gosh, and Shree appeared in important roles.
Technical team involves cinematography by Nani Chamidishetty, music by Mahati Swara Sagar, and editing by Raviteja Girijala. Kiran Kumar Manne is the art director. The trailer reflects the current political scenario definitely raises curiosity about the project. Prathinidhi 2 will hit the screens, on April 25th.
