Ashwatthama - The Saga Continues With Shahid Kapoor As Lead Announced

Shahid Kapoor starrer Ashwatthama- The Saga Continues was announced by the makers. It is based on the mythological character from the epic tale of the Mahabharata. The film is directed by Sachin B Ravi who is known for his Kannada film 'Avane Srimannarayana'. 

The film delves into the legend of Ashwatthama, believed to be alive even today. It is set in the present era and explores the inner psyche of an immortal being, revealing how he perceives the world he has witnessed for thousands of years.

Earlier, Vicky Kaushal was in talks of doing the lead role in a film called The Immortal Ashwatthama. It was going to be directed by Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) fame Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. However, the project was eventually shelved.

Ashwatthama- The Saga Continues is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshika Deshmukh under their banner Pooja Entertainment and will be released in 5 languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
