Happy Birthday To Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander

Anirudh Ravichander is the name we have been listening with biggest blockbusters in recent times. He is not a hero and director, but a music composer who is making his mark in the film's success. His contribution especially with Back Ground Music has created a new trend in action films. Anirudh hails from a film background. He was the son of Actor Ravichander Raghavendra and classical dancer Lakshmi Ravichander. He is a nephew to Latha Rajinikanth, wife of Rajinikanth. Ravichander's great grandfather was a filmmaker in Tamil in 1930's. Anirudh learnt piano from Trinity College of Music, London. He also was part of a fusion band.

Anirudh made his debut with the directorial of his cousin Aishwarya Rajinikanth's 3 starring Dhanush. Why This Kolaveri song from 3 became an instant internet Sensation becoming most searched song in India who got hooked with the audience for is Tanglish lyrics along with Anirudh 's peppy tune. It became internet phenomenon across Asia. He then signed films like Ethir Neechal, Vanakkam Chennai and Selvaraghavan Directorial Irandam Ulagam / Varna starring Anushka Shetty and Arya. He introduced several Bollywood singers to Tamil and rapper Hip-hop Thamizha as singers with these films.

Anirudh joined hands with Dhanush once again for Velaiyilla Patthathari / Raghvuran Btech and delivered a chartbuster. With this film Anirudh has consolidated his position as a promising young music director who can score for big films. AR Murugadoss roped in for his film with Vijay, Kaththi. He delivered superb album and terrific background score especially for the film. Kaththi is the highest profile album for Anirudh at the time.

Then his films Kaali Sattai starring Sivakarthikeyan, Maari starring Dhanush, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan starring Vijay Sethupathi made him a star composer. He worked with Ajith for two films Vedhalam and Vivekam. He made his Tollywood debut with Agnyaathavaasi starring Pawan Kalyan directed by Trivikram. Though the album won accolades, due to the failure of the film, he didn't do much films in Telugu. With Rajinikanth's Petta he delivered a sensational album. Then he did a couple of Telugu films with Nani, Jersey and Gangleader. 

Anirudh once again joined forces with Vijay for Master and started to show his mark with his outstanding BGM. This was followed by Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor, Vijay's Beast, Kamal Haasan's Vikram and recently Rajmikanth's Jailer. All these films have immense contribution of Anirudh as a music director. He recently made his Bollywood debut with Shahrukh Khan starrer Jawan which became one of the biggest hits in Bollywood. He is composing music for NTR's much awaited Devara. His next release LEO with Vijay is gearing up to hit the screens this 19th.
