Mammootty And Jiiva In Yatra 2 First Look

Yatra was the biopic of late chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Rajasekhar Reddy. The film which was released just before elections in 2019 connected well with the audience and also one of the factors generated positive vibes for YS Jagan back then. Now, makers are coming with Yatra 2. While Yatra was about YSR's walkathon to power, Yatra 2 focuses on YS Jagan's walkathon to becoming Chief Minister. 

Mahi V Raghav who helmed Yatra is directing Yatra 2 along with producing it. The makers of Yatra 2 have unveiled the first look of their principal character posters.  While Malayalam superstar Mammootty will reprise his role as YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Kollywood star Jiiva will portray the role of YS Jagan.

 Yatra and Yatra 2 are about a father and a son’s stories. Yatra was about how late former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy inspired people with his walkathon. Yatra 2 is set in a time period from 2009-2019 and shows the rise of YS Jagan as a leader in the state. The film’s shooting is currently in progress.

Produced by Shiva Meka in association with Three Autumn Leaves and V Celluloid, Yatra 2 will release on February 8, 2024 – the same day Yatra released five years ago in 2019. Madhi is the cameraman and Santosh Narayanan is composing the music.
