Sudheer Varma: Promising And Talented Director

Sudheer Varma is one among the few directors who has the ability to present his subjects in a stylish and slick manner with whacky characters and unique narrative style. This Btech graduate worked as assistant director before turning into a director. He earned recognition for handling crime comedy genre which we find very rarely in Tollywood.

Sudheer Varma debuted as a director with Swamy Ra Ra starring Nikhil Siddharth and Swathi. The film became a smash hit and lauded for its fresh taking and presentation. Sudheer Varma made everyone talk about him with the first film itself. His second film with Naga Chaitanya and Kriti Sanon was also made in the same crime comedy genre and became a boxoffice failure.

Sudheer Varma himself said in an interview that he is influenced largely by foreign films and he is a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg, and Martin Scorsese. He said that their work has been very important to him, in regards to his learning. Then for the second time he collaborated with Nikhil for Keshava which is a serious thriller and scored decent success at the box office.

Sudheer Varma directed Ranarangam with Sharwanand and Ravanasura with Ravi Teja. Both the films won praises for their stylish presentation but didn't scored commercial success. Now, he is busy with his new film to be produced by BVSN Prasad as #SVCC32. Details about this project will be out soon.
