Boney startling revelations in Sridevi.Boney Kapoor, who had maintained a long silence regarding the tragic loss of his beloved wife and iconic actor, Sridevi, has now opened up about the circumstances surrounding her passing. He revealed that Sridevi often adhered to strict diets without salt, which sometimes led to blackouts. 

He shared a poignant story involving actor Nagarjuna, who had a similar experience, with Sridevi even losing a tooth due to fainting.In an interview, the filmmaker disclosed, “It was not a natural death; it was an accidental death. I had chosen not to discuss it earlier because I had already spoken about it extensively during the initial investigation and questioning, which lasted for nearly 24 to 48 hours. The authorities had mentioned that there was substantial pressure from the Indian media, leading to this thorough investigation. Eventually, they confirmed there was no foul play. I underwent numerous tests, including lie detector tests, and all findings pointed to it being an accidental occurrence.”

Boney Kapoor went on to reveal that Sridevi continued her strict diet regimen even during the time of her passing. He added, “She would often starve herself, driven by her desire to maintain her appearance on-screen. From the time she became my wife, she experienced blackouts on a few occasions, and doctors attributed it to her low blood pressure.”The filmmaker recounted a conversation with Nagarjuna, who recalled an incident when Sridevi fainted in the bathroom during a film shoot. Boney shared, “It was a tragic incident. After her passing, Nagarjuna came to our home to offer his condolences and told me that during one of her movies, she was once again on a strict diet, leading to her fainting in the bathroom and breaking her teeth.”

Boney explained that after their marriage, he was aware of Sridevi's dietary habits and would often request his doctor to advise her to include some salt. He noted that even during dinners, she would request salt-free dishes. Regrettably, she didn't take this matter seriously, and Boney realized the gravity of the situation only after the tragic incident occurred.Sridevi's untimely passing was attributed to accidental drowning in a bathtub in her hotel room in Dubai on February 24, 2018, shedding light on the importance of health and well-being in the entertainment industry.
