Mammootty: An Actor Par Excellence

Mammootty is a legendary actor whose career spanning for more than five decades. Though he is primarily worked in Malayalam film industry, he is well known in Tamil and Telugu film industries. He also starred in direct Telugu and Tamil films. He has acted in more than 400 films winning three National Awards.

Mammootty made his debut as an actor through Malayalam film Anubhavangal Paalichakal in 1971. The 1987 released crime thriller New Delhi gave him the much needed commercial success. The films that followed through the next decade established Mammootty as one of the leading stars of Malayalam cinema.

Mammootty's performance in the Hindi and English-language bilingual biopic Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar (2000) won him the National Film Award for Best Actor. His highest-grossing releases include the period action Mamangam and Madhura Raja in 2019, and the action thriller Bheeshma Parvam which was initially made to release in OTT has later had a theatrical release and become one of the biggest hits in Mollywood.

Mammootty never hesitates to experiment with his roles. Now, the makers of his latest film, 'Bramayugam', an upcoming period horror thriller, have revealed a special first look poster of the actor on his 72nd birthday. The actor is reportedly playing a person who practices black magic in the film. Mammootty's latest appearance of a man with slick hair and a frightening smile, can send chills down your spine.
