Thani Oruvan meant for Prabhas. Movie lovers cannot forget the sensation Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara, Arvind Swami's Thani Oruvan directed by Mohan Raja created at the box office.

The film was later remade into Telugu by Ram Charan as Dhruva. The remake was directed by Surender Reddy. Recently Thani Oruvan 2 was announced and the sequel is generating interest.

In the midst of all this, Mohan Raja made a startling revelations saying he readied Thani Oruvan story keeping Prabhas in mind. He said  'I was always in touch with what was happening in Andhra film industry. In 2010, I met Prabhas and narrated the Thani Oruvan story to him. So technically, the story was created with him in mind. I didn't give him the narrative in detail, just gave him a one-liner and he was interested.'

But Prabhas after the final narration, said that he was planning a love story and so Mohan Raja directed Nagarjuna's Azad remake Velayutham with Vijay in Tamil. Later he did Thani Oruvan with his brother Jayam Ravi. Fans of Prabhas are now feeling that Prabhas missed a blockbuster.
