Rahman compares  Rocketry : The Nambi Effect with Oppenheimer. Madhavan's directorial venture Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won the best feature film award at the national level. It is known that the film is a biopic on ISRO's former aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan who was falsely implicated in the espionage charges.

Now, Oscar winner Rahman compared Rocketry The Nambi Effect with the Hollywood film Oppenheimer. He said "Congrats Madhavan….I still remember the impact of your movie watching at Cannes … have to confess now (great timing)… I liked yours better than #Oppenheimer"
