Don't Trouble The Trouble(2026) Movie: What's Behind

Fahadh Faasil's Don't Trouble The Trouble arrived with considerable curiosity, thanks to the Rajamouli family and Arka Media Works association, along with the promotional push from several top stars. The trailer also created interest with Balakrishna's voice-over and the film's unusual magical-adventure setup. With that kind of attention around it, expectations were naturally high. The question is whether the film manages to deliver the same spark once the actual story begins.

Don't Trouble The Trouble(2026) Movie: Story Review

The story revolves around Suri (Fahadh Faasil), a carefree man who is constantly looking for ways to make quick money. His attempt to outsmart a dangerous politician, Aslam Bhai (Mahesh Manjrekar), lands him in a difficult situation. His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a little girl, Divya (Ssara Palekar). The connection between the two and the trouble surrounding them forms the main conflict.

Krishna (Subbaraju), Pratap (Saurabh Sachdeva) and Divya's parents become part of Suri's journey, but the screenplay struggles to turn this simple premise into a consistently engaging ride.

Don't Trouble The Trouble(2026) Movie: Artists Review

Shashank Yeleti comes up with an idea that tries to mix fantasy, emotion and entertainment, but the execution doesn't completely bring those elements together. The film takes time to establish its world and characters, while the emotional thread that should hold the story together remains underdeveloped.

The first half has a few entertaining moments, but the proceedings move along familiar lines. Some curiosity is created around the interval, giving the film a temporary lift. The second half, however, loses momentum and becomes increasingly uneven. The pre-climax provides some relief, but by then the film has already struggled to maintain the required engagement.

The biggest issue is the screenplay. The basic premise had enough room for a fun and emotional entertainer, but several scenes feel stretched and the narrative doesn't always follow a convincing internal logic. The film also seems caught between different kinds of audiences, never fully settling into either a children's fantasy adventure or a proper family entertainer.

Fahadh Faasil does his part sincerely and once again proves his ability to bring personality to even a limited character. He has also dubbed his own lines in Telugu. However, the role itself doesn't provide enough material for him to unleash the range and spontaneity he is capable of.

Ssara Palekar is adorable and delivers a decent performance, though the emotional portions could have had greater impact. Subbaraju is adequate, while Saurabh Sachdeva's character feels underwritten and confusing in places. Mahesh Manjrekar fits the part but isn't given anything particularly memorable. Venkatesh Kakamanu and the rest of the cast perform as required.

Don't Trouble The Trouble(2026) Movie: Technical Review

Kaala Bhairava's music doesn't leave a major impression, while the background score also fails to consistently elevate the important moments. Brad Francis' cinematography is one of the better aspects of the film, with the camera work giving several locations a natural and visually appealing treatment.

Praveen Anthony's editing could have been tighter, particularly in the portions where the narrative begins to drag. The production values are decent and the film gets the required visual support, but the technical elements aren't enough to compensate for the screenplay issues.

Don't Trouble The Trouble(2026) Movie: Rating Analysis

Don't Trouble The Trouble had all the ingredients to become an interesting fantasy entertainer, but the final product doesn't fully capitalise on them. The central idea has scope, and Fahadh Faasil brings his usual commitment to the character, but the screenplay doesn't give him enough material to make the proceedings consistently engaging.

The film works in parts, particularly when it leans into its lighter moments and the relationship at the heart of the story. However, the emotional beats don't land strongly enough, while the second half becomes increasingly inconsistent. Some outdated and illogical stretches further weaken the impact.

The Rajamouli family association and the strong promotional attention created considerable curiosity, but the film itself needed stronger writing to sustain those expectations. It isn't a complete washout, as there are a few moments and performances that work, but the overall experience remains uneven.

Considering all these elements, CineJosh goes with a 2.25 rating for Don't Trouble The Trouble.
