Shunted twice in the last couple of months -- first as chairman of the AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) and then as chairman of the Godavari Valley Development Authority, Shyam Sunder Prasad Yadav is seeking to regain the post of director general of Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Yadav is moving the Central Administrative Tribunal seeking a transfer. Invoking various rules, he is likely to argue that being the senior-most IPS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre right now, he has to be given a cadre post.
With no hope of getting back the post of Director General of Police, Yadav is gunning for the post of DGP, ACB. After being shunted out of APSRTC as its managing director following the controversial rise in fares and his differences with the State Government, SSP Yadav was shifted to Godavari Valley Development Authority as its chairman. This post is absolutely nondescript and Yadav moved the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) seeking a transfer on the grounds that he has to be given a cadre post.
