Bowing to the orders of Andhra Pradesh High COurt, the Government pulled Out the Central Reserve Police Force and other paramilitary forces from the Osmania University here on Wednesday.
Hyderabad police commissioner A.K Khan told reporters that the paramilitary forces were moved Out of the Ou campus.
As reported earlier, the High COurt on Tuesday reprimanded the State Government while dismissing its petition challenging the direction of a single-judge bench to withdraw the forces from campuses. Following the police baton charge on students and media on Sunday and Monday, the High COurt ordered the withdrawal of paramilitary forces.
While dealing with a petition of a television channel reporter, who was assaulted by the police, a single-judge bench of the High COurt termed the state police as "lawless" and remarked that even the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues were helpless in keeping the police under check.
