Telangana records another positive case of Coronavirus (COVID-19) from Karimnagar, taking toal number of cases in the state to 28. The person was part of a group of 10 people from Indonesia who were in Karimnagar for a religious meet.
The group were travelling with three Indians and they are also under quarantine at Gandhi Hospital. Nearly 50,000 people were screened for COVID-19 by special medical teams in Karimnagar.
The Centre and state governments on March 22 announced the complete shutdown of 75 districts across the country where COVID-19 cases have been reported. In Telangana, Hyderabad, Medchal, Sangareddy, Rangareddy and Bhadradri Kothagudem were locked down whereas in AP Vizag, Krishna and Prakasham districts have been locked down.
All inter-state buses, passenger trains and metro services have been suspended across the country till March 31.
