As is known, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru are clashing on for this Sankranthi. Even before 10 days left for the releases of both the films, there's no clarity on the exact release dates of both the films. For time being, it's speculated that AVPL and SLN will be releasing on January 10.

Previously, Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu had a clash in 2016's summer season with their films Naa Peru Surya and Bharat Ane Nenu. Initially, both the films locked their release dates on 27 April, 2016. However, after an agreement between the two producers, BAN's release was preponed to 20th April while NPS had to be deferred to May 4. It's said team NPS reluctantly compromised to pave way for BAN's release in April.

If at all AVPL gets its release date confined to January 12 itself, the film will be losing the first release advantage which means Allu Arjun would again go for a compromise for Mahesh Babu. But then, this time Allu Arjun doesn't want to sacrifice his film for Mahesh Babu. As such team AVPL is mulling over to advance their film's release date to January 10. In the meanwhile, SLN's team is also planning to release their film on January 10.
