Natural Star Nani was the most bankable actor. Few of his films with mixed talk became super hits. Despite getting negative talk, Nani’s MCA (Middle Class Abbayi) ended as one of the biggest blockbusters in the actor’s career. But, he faced bitter results with Krishnarjuna Yuddham and Devadas, forcing him to choose different genre subjects.
Learning from his mistakes, Nani signed Jersey where he will be seen as a cricketer. Nani will be seen as a young, middle aged and an old man in the film directed by debutante Gowtham Tinnanuri. Nani who put in all his efforts to play a challenging role pins all his hopes on the film allegedly a biopic on late cricketer Raman Lamba. Fortunately, the film is carrying good buzz among film and trade circles.
On the flip side, Vijay Devarakonda emerged as most reliable actor with back to back hits. His Geetha Govindam collected a lifetime share of Rs 71.40 making him the super star among young heroes. Vijay’s last and most delayed movie Taxiwala also ended as a commercial hit.
Vijay Devarakonda will next be seen in an upcoming flick Dear Comrade which marks directorial debut for Bharat Kamma. For the first time, Vijay will be seen uttering dialogues in Kakinada slang. He so far mouthed his dialogues in Telangana slang. Rashmika Mandanna is female lead.
Interestingly, both Nani and Vijay Devarakonda are in summer race with their respective films- Jersey and Dear Comrade. Nani wants to challenge Vijay who grabbed his position as most bankable star. It has to be seen who will win the big race!
