The highly anticipated action thriller, 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups', starring Yash and Kiara Advani, has got a new release date. The film, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is now scheduled to hit the screens on March 19, 2026. It was earlier slated for release on April 10, 2025. The makers of the film revealed the new release date on Saturday, along with a gripping new poster. 'Toxic' is currently in production and is being shot in Kannada and English.

The film's plot is set against a drug cartel in Goa and explores themes of power and morality. Yash plays the protagonist, while Kiara Advani is his love interest and Nayanthara his sister. Huma Qureshi will be seen as the antagonist, and Akshay Oberoi makes his Kannada cinema debut with this film. KVN Productions and Yash's own Monster Mind Creations are producing the film. The action sequences are being choreographed by JJ Perry, who earlier worked on John Wick and Fast & Furious.

'Toxic' is being dubbed into several languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, to ensure a wider reach. Notably, the film is being conceptualized, written, and shot simultaneously in both Kannada and English, making it the first major Indian film to do so. The visual effects are being handled by DNEG, known for their work on Brahmastra and Dune: Part Two, among others.
