Puri Jagannadh Vijay Sethupathi Slum Dog 33 Temple Road Teaser Launched

Director Puri Jagannadh’s pan-Indian action drama Slum Dog 33 Temple Road, is in the final stages of post-production and gearing up for a theatrical release across South Indian languages and Hindi. To kick off promotions, the makers dropped the teaser today, giving audiences the first look at Vijay Sethupathi’s most intense role yet. The teaser opens with Vijay Sethupathi’s voice-over reflecting on the harsh realities of life, survival, and people who find shelter under trees when it rains. It then shifts to a striking visual of him as a blind beggar navigating a harsh world, but the contrast is instant as the same character transforms into a fierce fighter taking on goons in raw action sequences.
Puri Jagannadh seems to have created another unconventional hero, and Vijay Sethupathi delivers it with a rugged makeover, restrained performance, and strong screen presence that grabs attention from the first frame. The biggest hook of the Slum Dog teaser is the mystery around Vijay Sethupathi’s character. While he is shown as a visually impaired beggar facing neglect and injustice, the teaser keeps hinting that there is more to his story than meets the eye. Whether he is truly blind or hiding a bigger truth becomes the central question that builds curiosity.
The promo also introduces Samyuktha in a glamorous avatar and Tabu as a determined police officer who brings authority to the screen. Duniya Vijay appears as a dangerous antagonist, while supporting actors like Zarina Wahab, VTV Ganesh, and Brahmaji add depth to the cast. By mixing mystery, emotion, and mass action, the teaser pulls viewers into a gritty world that feels both dangerous and unpredictable, which is exactly what Puri Jagannadh fans expect.
Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under Puri Connects, in collaboration with JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla’s JB Motion Pictures, Slum Dog carries high production values and a stylized visual tone. Sam K Naidu’s cinematography captures the raw, street-level atmosphere with sharp frames, while Harshavardhan Rameshwar’s thunderous background score and energetic English track add intensity to every action block. The director’s trademark style is visible in the hero’s attitude, fast cuts, and dramatic presentation, making the teaser feel like a true Puri Jagannadh film.
