Meher Ramesh after a 10 year sabbatical weilded the megaphone for this film which is an official remake of Tamil film, Ajith starrer Vedhalam which was released in 2015.
Anil Sunkara is the producer behind this project. As Bholaa Shankar is the next film after Chiranjeevi's blockbuster Waltair Veerayya, usually enormous hype will be generated for his next. But, for Bholaa Shankar everything is a warning Bell right from the announcement of the project. Coming every fans fear into true, Bholaa Shankar sank without a trace.
The film is said to have done business of 70+ Crs and it has collected close to 30 Crs in its 10 days. The film will get replaced with this week new releases. So, its almost certain that the film will witness 40 Crores loss. But, Netflix bought the film for Rs 30 Crores considering Chiranjeevi's previous film Waltair Veerayya was a blockbuster and is doing well in Netflix.
Usually films are following eight week window between Theatrical and OTT releases. But, whenever a film became failure it's OTT release date pushed forward by weeks. So, Bholaa Shankar is expected to stream in Netflix from September 18.
