Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Wednesday assured the House that it is the Government's main concerns to provide security to its subjects including the Muslims.
The Chief Minister intervened during a discussion concerning the safety of the Muslims which was raised by Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi who urged Assembly Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy to direct the government to provide security to Muslims as the agitations taken up by pro and anti Telangana activists had hit the community badly.
Appealing to the Speaker during the Budget session of Assembly, the MIM leader demanded that the government provide security to the lives of Muslims as agitations frequently staged by Telangana and Andhra activists affected the lives of the community both economically and financially.
Expressing serious concern over the prevailing situation in the state, he blamed the Government for the situation in the state.Intervening during the discussions, Chief Minister K Rosaiah said the government would take all steps for providing security to the lives of the people.
Expressing concern over the issue, Rosaiah said the safety and security of the Muslims would be the top priority of the Government. “It is the government’s responsibility to provide security to all the people in the state including the minorities,” he pointed out.
The government would make all efforts to improve the law and order situation in the state, which was disturbed due to the frequent agitations over the controversial division of the state,” he added.
