Ponnala deserved TSCC chief post: Ponguleti

Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Wednesday welcomed the appointment of Ponnala Lakshmaiah as the first president of Telangana State Congress Committee.

Speaking to media persons here, Ponguleti said that Ponnala's appointment would boost the morale of all Backward Classes in Telangana. He said that Ponnala deserved the post as he, as the Irrigation Minister, played a crucial role in the successful implementation of Jala Yagnam scheme which provided irrigation to lakhs of acres of land across Andhra Pradesh. Further, it was due to Ponnala's efforts as IT Minister that the IT Exports and investments touched a new high. He said Ponnala has turned Hyderabad in a real IT Hub.

Ponguleti hoped that Ponnala would take along all leaders belonging to different castes, especially BCs and Dalits, to win the ensuing general elections.
