The land allotments were not the sole decision of the then Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao, who resigned from the cabinet said.

All those facing charges are not culprits, he said after meeting the Chief Minister at his camp office here today.

I did not take any decision that has affected the image of the Party or the Government.

The decision of allotting land to Vanpic was not the lone decision of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. I&I Department have decided on whom the land should be allotted to. I&I is the nodal agency in the Vanpic issue. I did not take any decision independently on the land allotment, he said.

As Revenue Minister, I signed on the Vanpic file as per the cabinet decision. Revenue Department has no role to play in this regard. There is nothing wrong on part of the Revenue Department and this will be known very soon, Dharmana said.

I resigned in August last with the view of not to put the party and government in trouble. I still abide by that resignation. CBI did not mention us as accused. Mere allegations will not make us accused.

IMG Bharatha land was allotted by N Chandrababu Naidu while he was a care-taker Chief Minister. If court convicts us we will be tainted, not until then. CBI did not ask me about quid pro quo. It has asked only about some technical details.

Some papers which have no proper knowledge are calling us tainted ministers. We will be proved as innocent in courts,” Dharmana said.
