The Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday condemned the allegations being leveled by opposition parties against the ruling party.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, PCC spokespersons B Kamalakar and Uma Maheshwar Rao said that the opposition parties - TDP and YSR Congress parties were leveling baseless allegations against the Congress Government. Referring to the criticism being done by Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu during his "Vastunna Mee Kosam" padayatra, Kamalakar said that Naidu was frustrated due to continuous exodus of TDP MLAs to the YSRCP and therefore, he is targeting Congress to divert attention.

Kamalakar alleged that Naidu was conducting the padayatra for his political survival and it was not aimed at the welfare of the people. He also condemned the TDP chief for alleged use of objectionable language against the ruling party leaders. However, he advised the Congress party workers to ignore the criticism and focus their attention on taking the government's schemes to the doorstep of the common man.

Meanwhile, Maheshwar Rao ridiculed YSRCP leader Sharmila's call for Rajanna Rajyam. He alleged that while "Rajanna Rajyam" (YSR regime) was on in the State, she was busy counting the illegal wealth of her brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that YSR only implemented the vision of Congress President Sonia Gandhi by introducing several welfare schemes. However, he said that it was immoral on the part of YSRCP to try to take credit for the successful schemes of Congress party.
