Former minister J C Diwakar Reddy on Monday stated that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has emerged stronger after facing the No Confidence Motion in the State Legislative Assembly.
Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party Office, Diwakar Reddy said that the No Trust Motion introduced by Telugu Desam Party proved that there was no threat to the Kiran Kumar Reddy Government. He expressed confidence that the Chief Minister would complete his remaining tenure uninterruptedly till 2014.
Diwakar Reddy demanded immediate disciplinary action against 16 MLAs who voted in favour of the motion violating the party whip. He expressed confidence that the Congress candidates would win in all the constituencies, where the by-elections would be held due to disqualification of rebel group MLAs. He said no sympathy wave of YS Rajasekhara Reddy was prevailing in the constituencies where the by-elections are likely to be held.
The former minister also ruled out the possibilities of rebel MLAs rejoining the Congress party.
