Lokesh gets a shock in AP High Court. It appears that the stage is being set for Lokesh, the son of TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu. Following the dramatic arrest of TDP leader Chandra Babu, it became widely anticipated that Lokesh would take charge of leading the party's campaign against Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and his ruling YSRCP government.
However, the YSRCP is determined to counter any such plans, and in the context of the Amaravati Inner Ring Road alignment case, CID investigators identified party national general secretary Nara Lokesh as A14.In response, Lokesh has taken legal action by approaching the Andhra Pradesh High Court to seek anticipatory bail regarding this case.In a recent development, the court has disposed of the bail plea petition.
Advocate General Sriram Subrahmanyam informed the court that notices would be issued to Lokesh under CrPC 41A, which does not entail immediate arrest. He also mentioned that modifications had been made to the FIR accordingly.
Furthermore, he assured the court that if Lokesh cooperates with the investigative agency, there would be no immediate arrest. However, should Lokesh fail to cooperate with the investigators, they would inform the court and proceed with his arrest accordingly.
