Why are people angry with Ramayana Part 1

Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 1 starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash released as Diwali special across the world. While the film has been hailed by all for its extravagant visuals and VFX,CGI and BGM, many are saying that it missed the emotional connection.

Many of those who watched also are of the opinion that Ravana's role got more screen presence than Lord Ram. Many of the Lord Ram devotees are questioning how can the makers diminish the role of Lord Ram while making Ramayana even if it is the case that the film is made in two parts.

They are saying though Ravana's past and might has been shown in an interesting and gripping manner, the same is not done in case of Lord Ram. They say the director instead of researching on Lord Ram did more research on Ravana and didnot show the greatness of Ram so that the people across the world can know and eulogise.

Lord Ram is shown only after 40 minutes and till the 40 minutes Ravana's role was shown in a gripping way. Many expected him to show Ram's role in a next level. However the dialogues that follow between Ram and Sita and the story that wwas narrated till then, people are left to wonder what the director know about Lord Ram. Director in the name of creative liberty changed many scenes.

He failed to elevate Ram's role even 1% of what he did for Ravana. Even in the second part, he gave importance to Ravana and Soorpanakha. These scenes generate interest but the same interest is not shown in Ram's character. Ramayana means ,one should talk of Ram's greatness and if the makers do research and show Ram's role and elevate him to the next level, no other blockbuster films can be compared to it. Devotees are ruing that why the directors are not making proper research in Lord Ram and doing films elevating other characters and showing Ram in a subdued way.
