Kantara which was released as a regional Kannada film has crossed all boundaries and registered phenomenal success throughout India. This Rishab Shetty starrer and directorial has been rewriting record books ever since it's release. It keeps on ringing and resgistering more and more collections at the cash counters. It is a cinematic wonder that comes very rarely. The latest is Kantara crossed Rs 400 Crores gross mark and entered into a new page in its record books.
Kantara has collected 168.50 Crs Gross in Karnataka, 60 Crs Gross in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, 12.70 Crs Gross in Tamil Nadu, 19.20 Crs Gross in Kerala with 96.00 Crs Gross in North India and in overseas a total amount of 44.50 Crs Gross. The overall collection of Kantara amassed to a massive 400 Crs all across the world.
Kantara was initially released on September 30th in Kannada and then it released in other languages on October 15th. The film worked it's magic in all languages and kept growing week after week. For a film which is made with a budget of Rs 15 Crores and based on a regional flavour story, Kantara is definitely a once in a lifetime tale of success. Produced by Vijay Kigandaur under Hombale Films. Rishab also hinted that there is a possibility for sequel and prequels for Kantara as it has several subplots to explore further.
