To elevate heroism on high level, director needs an equivalently performing cruel villain in any of the Telugu films. Audience can never be justified with altu-faltu villainy, especially in mass films with star heroes. That is why our directors go in search of dreadful faces to give more of an edge for our heroes by portraying villains as bloodthirsty as possible. Compared to monotonous characteristics seen plenty of times played by Sonu Sood, sources say ‘Gabbar Singh’ has got volumes of freshness in Abhimanyu Singh who is doing a strong negative character opposite Pawan Kalyan.

Post the atrocities of Bukka Reddy in ‘Raktha Charitra,’ none of the directors could not tap the proclivity of Abhimanyu Singh. Luckily, Sonu Sood rejecting ‘Gabbar Singh’ has come like a blessing in disguise as Pawan and Harish Shankar quickly zeroed upon Abhimanyu Singh who seems to be naturally frightening in the first look trailer. Sources say, ‘Gabbar Singh’ has got a better villain artist compared to Sonu in ‘Dabangg.’
