Feedback and reviews - Filmmakers dual mindset exposed

The dual mindset of filmmakers exposed completely over feedback and reviews. Generally, for any job, there will be feedback, and depending on the performance, it will be negative or positive, and based on that, companies, governments, or individuals try to hone their skills and improve on them.

It is the same for the filmmakers and the films they make. Only if they take constructive criticism and feedback, they can improve upon their filmmaking. However, nowadays, the moment a film releases, social media is full of messages that the film was extraordinary and a blockbuster.

When some one comes up with negative comments, they brand him or her as a traitor. Most of these positive tweets, posts and reviews that come positively are made by the producers themselves. Most of the small and medium budget films which released recently followed the same strategy.

Once the night premiers end, there will be thousands of positive posts and tweets. Producer will be content with them but the reality will be different as the screens screening these films will have a deserted look. Noone will be knowing about the film and its release and the genuine reviews that come later gives the clear picture.

Some lament that these positive reviews are not giving them the clear picture as to what is good and what is bad in the film while PROs pressurise saying donot kill the small films even if a small negative line is mentioned in the review or an article. With even star producers like Dil Raju and Naga Vamsi claiming that they are buying likes and reviews and ranks in book my show, people have stopped watching small films and are showing interest to some extent to watch star heroes films.

It has to be seen when the makers come out of their fools paradise and come with strong content based films.
