Padma awards presented by President Murmu in Delhi

President Droupadi Murmu conferred 65 Padma awards at a glittering ceremoney held at t Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. 65 Padma Awards, comprised two Padma Vibhushan awards, seven Padma Bhushan awards and 56 Padma Shri awards.
This year, a total of 131 Padma Awards were announced, including five Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri awards. Of the awardees, 19 are women and 16 have been selected for the honour posthumously.
From Telugu states Murali Mohan and Rajendra Prasad received the awards. Among those honoured were cricketer Rohit Sharma, playback singer Alka Yagnik, actor Mammootty, actor R Madhavan and tennis great Vijay Amritraj.
Among the prominent recipients honoured during the latest ceremony were Padma Bhushan awardees Alka Yagnik, Shibu Soren, Mammootty, Piyush Pandey, Uday Sureshkumar Kotak, Kallipatti Ramasamy Palaniswamy, Dr Dattatreyudu Nori, Vellappally Natesan, SKM Maeilanandhan, Vijay Amritraj, R Ganesh and Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
