High Court objects to TNR teaser Mass Raja Ravi Teja is getting ready to entertain movie lovers with his film Tiger Nageswara Rao. The film directed by Vamsee Krishna is a biopic on the dreaded robber Tiger Nageswara Rao of Stuartpuram, Andhra Pradesh who wrecked fear in the 1970s.
The makers released the teaser which got a tremendous response and the film is releasing across the country in various languages on 20 October 2023 as a Dasara special. In the meantime, the makers got a huge shock from the High Court. High Court after hearing to the complaint filed by Chukka Palraj who accused the filmmakers of insulting and hurting the sentiments of the Stuartpuram people, came down heavily on the makers of Tiger Nageswara Rao.
The bench comprising of Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur, and Justice Akhula Venkata Sesha Sai questioned the makers on how they released the teaser without prior approval from the CBFC. The bench questioned what message they were sending to society by releasing such kind of teasers.
The court sent notices to producer Abhishek Agarwal and also asked the petitioner to include CBFC as the opponent. Palraj accused the makers of hurting the Erukala community in the teaser and the Court objected to the usage of the language in the teaser. The court posted the case for next hearing to Septmber 27.
